Rob + Meg

You could say Meg and I go way back...we are cousins after all. And while we may not have seen each other every day growing up, we did spend much of our formative years together. I remember running around in the backyard on all fours pretending to be puppies or kittens at Grandma's house. Or the amazing Barbie dreamhouse she had that I played with every time we visited Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jim's. She, her brother Mike, and my siblings and I had dreams of growing up and owning a farm together. We come from what you could call a quirky family I suppose; we are artsy and tend to like the unusual. Many weddings have a theme. Meg and Rob's had several; dinosaur, gaming, and Harry Potter come to mind. But they all work together to showcase the likes of this unique and fun pair. A little bit about both; Rob is a guitar playing history buff who loves board games. Meg is an artistic music lover who loves bad movies and video games. When they weren't at home in front of the fireplace, adopting cats, or attending a Kiss concert, they were apparently planning one of the coolest weddings ever. I had so much fun photographing this epic event that featured a surprise T-Rex first look, a Man-of-Honor, a surprise joke bouquet featuring Harry Potter and a dinosaur eating a leg (yes, you heard that right), and a first dance set to the Overwold Theme from Super Mario Bros. 2. My mother and Aunt Cindy both spent what must have been a huge amount of time making paper flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces. And although I thought the centerpieces were beautiful as they were, the fairy-lights in the vases gave them that extra magic touch. Meg's bouquet was actually made from pages from a Harry Potter book and was decorated with charms that said "Always." Some of the centerpieces actually had old sheet music from Meg's piano playing days. So much work went into making this day extra special and fun and I'm so happy I got to play a part in it.Congratulations, Meg and Rob!

The Hello Kitty ring was Meg's something "new" and something "blue," a gift from her  Man-of-Honor, Chris.

The surprise joke bouquet that included a Harry Potter figurine, a dinosaur eating a leg, and what appeared to be beadazzling.

And now for the real bouquet.

Rob is ready for his first look. I think he'll be surprised...

I love goofy sibling photos; Meg and her brother.

And Rob with his brother.

It was November, but it wasn't too chilly for a quick jaunt outside.

Rob made this super amazing paper moon backdrop in lieu of a photo booth.

After cake, we snuck back outside for a few nighttime photos.
