Felix
As a photographer, I get the rare opportunity to share in the important moments of people's lives. I'm there when you say "I Do." I sometimes even cry at your first dance, or when you dance with your parents at your wedding. I document your new baby's first few days, or take your family's annual Christmas picture. But if not for this girl right here, I might never have taken the first step to becoming a photographer at all. You see, I was a Fine Arts major in college when I met my future husband and had my daughter. I was taking a Photoshop class, back when it was still relatively new and people still used floppy disks and zip drives. Anyway, I had all of the pictures of my baby to make a collage in Photoshop, and the pictures were...well I won't say awful, but they weren't what I would call great. So instead of taking a metal welding sculpture class in my final year, I took photography instead. So she is directly responsible for the path I ended up on with my photo career. Now she is a senior in school, the age I was when I decided to go to college to be a Fine Arts major. And this moment was so special for me. She has grown up with my various cameras in her face, documenting every step, and now I finally got to do her Senior portraits. So here she is, an artist, musician, and just all-around kind and generous person. And also my muse. I love you Felix!
