Ian + Jen

I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had at Ian and Jen's wedding. First of all, I loved the bright  color scheme. I am a huge fan of vibrant color and it was a pleasure to photograph all of the fun details of the decor that they chose. Their dogs, Harley and Quinn, were members of the wedding party also, and had their own special outfits for the occasion. The groomsmen wore kilts and Converses, and the bridesmaids wore black with a splash of color for accent. But the fun doesn't stop at just the aesthetic details. The wedding procession walked in to an instrumental version of "Birdhouse in Your Soul" by They Might Be Giants, Jen walked to part of the song "Lovely Night" by Alan Silvestri (from the movie Overboard), and the recessional was an instrumental version of "Good Enough" by Cyndi Lauper from the Goonies soundtrack. A friend who was an ordained Dudeist priest conducted the ceremony. Games were provided for entertainment throughout the night, including  KanJam, Ladderball, Uno, and my favorite, a very colorful giant Jenga, among others. Everything took place at the Bement-Billings Farmstead Museum in Newark Valley. We even received a visit from Mr. Bement himself, who I believe traveled forward in time to help us celebrate! (There also was a wizard attending as a guest as well, so maybe we traveled back in time?) After their first dance, they immediately broke into the "Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, shortly followed by the Monster Mash.  Ian and Jen were trying to find fun dates that they could choose as their wedding day. August 27th? Pee-Wee Herman's birthday. I had a blast capturing all the sweet moves on the dance floor throughout the evening, and with great pleasure, I present Ian and Jen's awesome wedding!

Oh yeah, there were also ginormous flasks.
