John + Amanda
Sunflowers, Hawaiian shirts, and brunch...those are three things that come to mind when I think of John and Amanda's wedding. John and Amanda were married on an absolutely gorgeous sunny day at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Unadilla. Amanda got ready at the church while John and the boys were up at the Unadilla Rod & Gun Club modeling for my associate photographer, Kristin. When I arrived at the church, Amanda was still in her Hawaiian shirt, so I stole the dress and shoes for a few shots outside. (The story with the Hawaiian shirts is that when Amanda and John were first dating, he would wear the same Hawaiian shirt every weekend. Eventually, she told him that if he didn't add to the collection, she would throw it out. Her father apparently likes to joke about this often, so Amanda made sure to get him the most obnoxious orange shirt for the reception. Officiant Father Scott Garno even had a special Hawaiian stole for the event!) Bells were handed to guests before they were seated to ring after the kiss...the bells had belonged to Amanda's grandmother who loved to collect them. After the ceremony, the couple walked through a veritable wall of bubbles before heading up to the Rod & Gun Club for a fantastic brunch consisting of french toast, bacon, sausage, home fries, yogurt parfaits and an omelette station with all the fixins...Kristin and I were in heaven! The rest of the afternoon was filled with games and dancing; we had a blast documenting it all! Thanks for letting us capture your day, John and Amanda! Congratulations!

I love that purple lace! What a beautiful touch.
John's father played during the ceremony.
And then they just kept going...
Wolfe Wilde Goldsmith did an amazing job with the rings; Amanda's engagement ring was actually two rings put together, and the band was made to match as closely as possible.
