Kris + Varsha

When Varsha and Kris contacted me, they had already been married.
While I missed the excitement of their Indian wedding, I was honored to capture the American celebration for those who couldn't make the trip to India. It was an incredibly chill, laid-back affair complete with Cornhole, Ladder Ball, Blob Tag, and Tug of War. Also a Limbo contest, chickens, goats, drones, a Tardis, and even a motorized Book of Monsters. The weather held off beautifully for us; everyone was nervous because the forecast had called for rain all afternoon. Luckily, we had a beautiful day with clear skies until later in the evening when it didn't matter anymore. A few brave souls even ventured out into the rain for some dancing!
Kris and Varsha exchanged their vows in the open air of a clearing in front of a beautiful green field.
I think my favorite thing was that in their self-written vows, they both promised to protect each other from bears! After the emotional ceremony, guests were treated to a fantastic dinner from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse.   And of course, I mentioned the games. I hadn't heard of blob tag before, but I was educated that night, watching everyone who became "it" join hands to catch whoever was still running free. And during Tug of War, the rope broke in the middle as soon as each team started to pull, which of course left everyone laughing on the ground. As the night progressed, the dancing commenced, and I always love a good energetic dance floor at the end of the evening.
I'm very happy to have been a part of your day, Kris and Varsha. Congratulations!
