Jonas + Erin

Jonas and Erin's wedding fell on what was probably the hottest day ever. I mean it...I only remember working one wedding on a day hotter than this, and it was in June in Maryland about 13 years ago. So what did everyone do on this super hot day? They partied like it was going out of style and had a wonderful time! Guests were provided with paper parasols and plenty of bottled water to stay hydrated and were treated to a sensational evening at the North Farm in Geneva. Seriously, this place was absolutely gorgeous and I loved working in such a beautiful and charming atmosphere. Erin and Jonas were married up on a hill with a stunning view of Seneca lake. Guests were ferried in golf carts, but many chose to walk, umbrella in hand, up the trail for the event. It was a beautiful sight, with the lake in the background and rose petals along the ground. Jonas and Erin's good friend Graham officiated. Fun fact: Jonas officiated his wedding last June, and Graham had a custom made stole for the occasion. It has ceiling fans on one side, and snakes on the other! After the ceremony and cocktail hour, there was a delicious dinner of pulled pork tacos with every fixin' imaginable, provided by Chef Samantha Buyskes and Van Noble Farm. After dinner, everyone went upstairs to listen to the sounds of the Silver Arrow Band and get their dance on. For dessert, Jonas, (who has been making ice cream as a hobby for the last five years), had provided 16 gallons of ice cream with 10 unique flavors as a special treat for the guests! At twilight, Erin, Jonas and I snuck off for a few more photos, and when we got back, a stirring rendition of "When the Saints Go Marching In" was being performed, and boy, were those guests dancing! I'll let you see for yourself!
