Jedah + Abby

Jedah and Abby began their relationship as friends a couple of years ago until it evolved into something more. Abby remembers the moment they were sitting at the dinner table together when Jedah nervously asked if she wanted to be his girlfriend, and obviously, she said yes! When Jedah, who is an active Marine, went away for boot camp, they stayed in touch by writing letters. When they were finally reunited, they knew their relationship was serious, and by Christmas they were engaged! I've always considered myself incredibly lucky with the people I work with. I feel like I must have the best clientele, and Jedah and Abby and their families were no exception. I had so much fun with Abby at her home, getting to take part in the fun and joking while everyone got ready. (I got to meet all of her dogs too!) And Jedah's family was wonderful too; I had many fun and interesting conversations with members of his family during the reception.
Abby and Jedah were married at St. Mary's Church in Oneonta by Father David Mickiewicz in a ceremony filled with peace and love. The soft light coming through the stained glass windows gave the scene a dreamy glowing aura and you could feel the love and joy in the room. After the ceremony, we took a few pictures outside by the beautifully blooming rhododendrons next to the church and then we were off the to The Grove of Butternut Valley for the reception. After announcements and first dances, we took some more photos outside, and I particularly love the fun ones we took with Abby's sister and Jedah's brother, the Maid of Honor and Best Man respectively.
The reception was fun and lively; I'm so glad we can all dance at weddings again! I think everyone's favorite moment had to be when Abby and her friend from high school treated us all to a perfect performance of Moskau from Just Dance, something they've obviously practiced a lot! I also had a blast photographing Abby and Jedah with their friends, which included coordinated cartwheeling at times. You'll just have to see for yourself below!
Thank you for letting me be a part of your day, Jedah and Abby! I hope all of my weddings are as much fun this year!

A little bit of goofing around before the big moment. I love moments like this!
