Stephen and Bliss...Ceremony

Stephen and Bliss had the kind of wedding that photographers like me hope for...everything was beautifully decorated, it took place outside in nature on a beautiful day, and there was a unique personal touch that made the day so special. That uniqueness certainly extended to their ceremony, which held a lot of meaning and warmth for the couple and their friends and family. One of the most interesting aspects of their ceremony was the lighting of two fires that were merged to symbolize "our rite of passage and transition from being single to being married," and the fire was passed around so that each person could "sense the heat and glow of the fire as a representation of sharing in our love." They each burned something that was symbolic to them to "let go of the old and make room for something new to grow." and their parents did the same to "let go of seeing us as children and recognizing our new adult roles of husband and wife." Each of the groomsmen and bridesmaids was asked to speak about qualities that the couple cared about and wished to nurture in their relationship which really showed the depth and caring they share with their friends.  Watching them each speak was very touching and you could tell it meant a lot to Stephen and Bliss. Stephen and Bliss also shared their own vows and you could really see the warmth and love they have for each other. They truly appear to be soulmates, and I have nothing but the best of wishes for their new life together!
