Amy + Nate
Being a photographer has many perks...you're always meeting new people, getting to see new places, and documenting the happiest occasions in people's lives. One of the downsides of being a photographer, however, is working around the weather. I often set up a photo shoot weeks in advance, and then the day of, buckets of rain. So that brings me to Amy and Nate's engagement session. I actually changed the time of our session because it was supposed to rain all evening. As I'm arriving at the property, it's kind of sprinkling, but not anything I can't work with, so I started to take some photos of the beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, poor Amy and Nate got stuck in traffic, and were running late. So, of course, it starts pouring. It's raining, and it's raining, and I'm thinking to myself, "Please, please stop raining, because I'm the one who changed the time to avoid the rain, and they're going to get here and have to turn right back around and go home..."etc, etc. Ten minutes, seriously ten minutes before they arrive, the clouds blow away, and it's nothing but sunshine. And that, folks, is why I don't cancel a shoot until the last minute! Amy and Nate were super fun to work with, and I got to meet their dog, Chevy, who was very happy to run around and do dog things while we took photos all over the gorgeous property. Nate's grandmother Lori, who also made the amazing centerpieces at Krystal and Nathan's wedding, set up an awesome backdrop using an old family truck and lots and lots of flowers! All in all, I had a great time and I look forward to photographing your wedding next year, Nate and Amy!
Chevy gets to take a little ride!!
