David + Karen

I've worked with Karen, David, Lily and Oliver quite a few times, and it's always been a fun and creative experience. I've know Karen for a long time now--I am married to her favorite cousin, after all! ;) She's always been funny and artistic and known to take some beautiful photos herself. Anytime I've gone over to her home to take photos or discuss wedding details, I end up chit-chatting for two hours! When she met David, she knew he was definitely the man for her, and I can see why. He's smart, hilarious, and a great dad, and he's perfect for Karen. I had a wonderful time photographing their wedding at Rustic Ridge Winery in Burlington Flats. After a first look next to the barn, we did some formals around the beautiful property at Rustic Ridge. Their little boy, Oliver, stole the show during the ceremony with his antics, (he is definitely not shy in front of a crowd!) which had everybody giggling. In a sweet moment, David gave Lily a necklace to symbolize their new beginning as a family. Oh, and did I forget to mention they were married by Elvis? After the ceremony, the reception was filled with amazing food, great wine, silly dancing, and a freezer full of ice cream, which really hit the spot on this sunny day. Friends and family laughed, played cornhole on the lawn, and sipped wine in the sunshine, and in the evening guests were treated to a fireworks display. Everybody had a great time and I was happy to be a part of such a special day. Congratulations, Karen and David!
