Paul + Colleen

Paul and Colleen were married in late July at Paul's father's home in Mount Vision. I never really thought about the name Mount Vision until I saw the beautiful view from their ceremony site! All weddings, of course, have their similarities. But, each one has those little touches that make it unique, and that's one of the things I absolutely love about weddings. Paul, being a music teacher, of course had a live band at the reception and musical accompaniment for the procession. His brother, Stephen played guitar and sang during the procession as well along with Mike Banewicz on trumpet and Matthew Downey on guitar. And Colleen has wanted to be a beekeeper since college and just started keeping bees this past spring. Bees being her favorite insect, she had a special bee hairpiece incorporated into her wedding hairdo. Instead of wedding cake, a multitude of pies (made by Paul's mother Peggy Liddle, Colleen's mom Theresa Davis, Linda Sorensen, Lisa Libby, Hannah Taggart and Chelsea DeMott Wildey)  were made for dessert. (I even got to bring one home!) And of course, I couldn't forget the crazy antics on the dance floor. I love an energetic reception crowd, and boy did I get one! We even had bridesmaid Alexis pulling out all of her best yo-yo moves. Yes, a literal yo-yo. The band, The Ten Most Wanted, kept the party going all evening and the night was filled with music and laughter. I had such a great time capturing your day, Paul and Colleen! Many years of love and happiness to you!

Colleen and her mother made the strawberry jam for the wedding favors. I love that sign!

Paul and Colleen both love board games, but Settlers of Catan is one of their all time favorites, so I made sure to get this ring shot!
