Kyle + Christina: August Wedding at West Branch Angler Resort

Kyle and Christina met in the Summer of 2010. They went to school together and Kyle had a crush on Christina. She, however, had no idea for years! They didn't get in touch again until Kyle was stationed in Virginia and Christina was in her last year of nursing school in New York. He messaged her asking if he could take her on a date when he came home on leave, and that was how it began. Both are huge MLB fans, (Kyle is a Yankees fan and Christina a Mets fan) and the date they made it official was watching the Yankees play in Baltimore on May 29th, 2017. Christina says that they knew right away that they'd be getting married someday and picked out their wedding song then! Both avid country fans, they chose Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett. They enjoy traveling together, and they make an effort to to go to at least one MLB stadium on their many road trips. Their goal is to get to every one! In addition to baseball, they love the outdoors and spend time hiking, fishing, and kayaking. The West Branch Angler Resort couldn't have been a more perfect venue for them!

After graduating, Christina immediately moved to Virginia. In addition to all the outdoor activities they enjoy together, Christina and Kyle love wine tastings and are always looking for new ones to check out, so it wasn't unusual for Kyle to propose in their favorite winery when his original plan had to be changed due to the pandemic. (He was originally going to propose in a baseball stadium.) With so many unknowns, they decided not to wait to get married and had a small wedding on August 14, 2020. August 28th, 2021, however, was the dream wedding they were hoping to have all along, and it turned out just they way they wanted it! Kyle's father, Keith, officiated (Kyle wanted to point out that his father is not actually ordained, but since they were already married he could officiate. So no contacting him for your wedding!) the outdoor ceremony on the grounds of the aforementioned West Branch Angler Resort; a beautiful spot in Hancock right by the Delaware River

I love when I have lots of getting ready time with the couples; my associate for the day, Mark Zilberman, and I had a blast working with this fun and energetic crowd. The guys started their day with skeet shooting before moving to the cabins to get dressed. The girls were a bit more laid back with drinks and sandwiches, but I definitely caught some great moments that had me laughing! You could tell that everyone was very close and had been friends for a long time.

After everyone was ready, Kyle and Christina had their first look at the cabin by the river. We had time for some formals before the ceremony and we got some beautiful shots down by the water. We took some more photos after the ceremony, namely the wedding party shots, and there were times I had to stop for a moment from laughing so hard! And don't even get me started on the reception. These folks LOVED to dance! Mark and I definitely struck dancefloor gold that night! In the evening, Christina, Kyle and I left Mark in charge of photographing the dancing guests so we could slip out for some twilight photographs. I love the dreamy lighting we got down by the river again as the sun slipped away.

I always say I have the best clients, and I mean it every time. I am so happy to have been part of a day filled with such joy, love and excitement! Congratulations to you both, Kyle and Christina!
