Michael + Alicia
I met Alicia and Michael at Thomas and Jackie's wedding that I shot a couple of years ago. Michael and Thomas are brothers and Alicia and Jackie are friends. In fact, Michael and Alicia caught the garter and bouquet in that wedding! I always enjoy when I get to work with people I've met before; it's nice to see familiar faces and watch families grow. We had an absolutely beautiful day for a wedding. I'm always a sucker for a bright blue sky full of fluffy clouds! The ceremony was at the Genegantselet Golf Course in Greene, right by the pond. Smiles and laughter were a huge part of the ceremony, and I loved it at the end when Michael offered up the use of his back for the witnesses to sign the marriage license! We wandered about on the beautiful green grass taking photos until reception time. After dances, dinner and toasts, DJ Tito got the party moving. You could tell everyone was having a great time and I'm happy to have been part of such a special day. Congratulations, Michael and Alicia!
Favorite moments:
• When Alicia's brother put on a wig and volunteered for the first round of garter removal.
• When the flower girl dumped all of her petals onto the floor of the hotel room for practice.
• The wedding guest who literally picked the woman up out of the seat to put on the garter!

Being a flower girl is a big responsibility; gotta get that practice in!
So I know I don't usually do this, but I have to break the story up a bit for a moment. The night before, this sequence of photos happened during the flower girl's practice walk at the rehearsal. She loves her mom very much and couldn't stand the walk without her, as you can see! But with the previous night's run and some practice under her belt, she walked the aisle the day of like a pro!
